Final Exam: Revision and Maintenance Plan

Overview

This portfolio is for anyone who wants to see some of my writing. This could be shown to possible employers who would need a writing sample, as well as for grad school. My goals for this portfolio is to have a single place that contains all of my writing experience. It includes my creative writing as well as my more professional and academic writings. I could also include any sort of undergraduate research I do.

Revision

At this point, I have mainly added more things to my portfolio. I’ve added a few poems from my Creative Writing: Poetry class, as well as provided a link to my poem that was published in The Interloper. I have not noticed any large errors within the portfolio. I’ve looked at the menus and all the main headings. There is not really anything big I plan on changing in the future. I will probably upload a few more poems and maybe a couple papers I wrote this semester.

Long Term Plans

I suppose all I can really say here is that I will keep it up to date. I can upload any more creative writing I do; I will have more creative writing classes. I’m doing undergraduate research with one of my professors next semester, so I may have some stuff from that to upload. I am taking Language and Gender next semester, so I know that ends in a sociolinguistic study having to do with gender or sexuality. I’ll definitely have more class work to update my portfolio with.

Maintenance Schedule

As far as keeping up with maintenance, I suppose just getting in a habit of updating is the best option. If I consistently upload new work, I’ll gain that habit and keep doing it.

Conclusion

This is excellent to keep all of my written work in one single space so I can just send a link to anyone who needs to see a writing sample. It’s also incredibly easy to update, so I can easily post more pieces and get rid of the ones I no longer want. It should be easy to maintain, so it will always be relevant.
